It's hard to believe that spring has finally shown us a little warmth. It is quite welcome after a long, cold winter. It's officially time to plant cold tolerant annuals, cold tolerant vegetables and some perennials, trees and shrubs. (We'll still have to wait a few weeks for the warm-loving annuals and herbs).
Our greenhouses are alive with color and beautiful lush green plants! The annuals that you can safely plant outdoors now are: pansies, petunias, dianthus, snapdragons, alyssum and more.
Cold tolerant vegetables include broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, onions and more.
In our Nursery and Perennial Courtyard you will find beautiful fresh plants: berry bushes, strawberry plants, asparagus roots, rhododendrons, azaleas, creeping phlox, forsythia and so many more!
Our tomato and pepper plants are here, but please careful to protect them for a couple of weeks before planting them out in the garden.
I'll raise the height in the heat of the summer and use shade cloth to keep the plants from scorching too. greenhousesblog
